Andrés Espinosa is a current Erasmus Mundus in Sustainable Systems Engineering student and University of Florida graduate with experience in supply chain innovation, project management, and transportation optimization research. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida in 2025 with a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering and minors in Economics and Sales Engineering.

Throughout Andrés’ undergraduate studies, he worked as a teaching assistant for six courses in the UF College of Engineering: EEL3003 (Intro to Circuits), ESI3215C (ISE Statistics), ESI4313 (Operations Research II), ESI4610 (Data Analytics I), EIN4343 (Inventory and Supply Chain Management), ESI4611 (Machine Learning). His research at the university has been conducted under Dr. Aleksandr M. Kazachkov, where Andrés used Python to create a transportation optimization back-end system for a local food bank. Andrés has worked on multiple personal research and programming projects. Midi Crusher, an AI musicology personal research project, was awarded Best Undergraduate Poster at the 2024 Spring ISE Research Symposium.

Andrés was the Ambassador Lead Chair for the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department where he lead the Introduction to Research Program and co-lead the ISEA Podcast. Andrés was also a software lead for the Audio Engineering Society where he led workshops on writing bossa nova music and creating generative music AI models.

Andrés spent his 2024 summer as a Supply Chain Intern at Procter & Gamble. During his time in Cincinnati, he completed five projects that spanned all North America planning operations for P&G Hair Care (and learned how to play pickleball!). He also worked for three semesters as an Energy Analyst for Gainesville Regional Utilities. Through these experiences, he built a mastery of finding problems, asking the right questions, analyzing data, and building a solution.
